Highway 6 - A new driving experience
Considered a major breakthrough, Highway 6 presents newstandards in global transportation.
This is the only highway in Israel to offer a driving experience incorporating speed, comfort and pleasure, with no traffic jams, no traffic lights and a legal speed of 110 kph!
To date over one million drivers have already discovered the driving advantages of Highway 6, where they enjoy a faster, more economical and calmer driving experience.
Getting on Highway 6, Beating the traffic
Highway 6 serves as a central traffic route in Israel that offers faster passage from the north to the south of the country, and an alternative route east to the existing two primary longitudinal routes in Israel: Highways 4 and 2.

Highway 6 is faster and more convenient than any existing road in Israel, due to high maintenance and technological ability to detect traffic problems and promptly resolve them.

Following the opening of the new northern section (reaches Yokneam area), Highway 6 spans over 140 km, from En Tut Interchange in the north to Ma'ahaz Interchange in the south. The highway has 13 interchanges, 2 two-way tunnels of more than 1 km length in general, and approximately 120 bridges.

Highway 6 significantly reduces travel time from one point to another, enabling one to drive from En tut Interchange (near Yokneam) to Ma'ahaz Interchange (near Beit Kama junction) in about 1 hour and 15 minutes, while bypassing the traffic jams in the Gush DAN area.

Highway 6, A high - speed Electronic Road meeting International Standards
Highway 6 is an innovative and advanced electronic toll road. Unlike other roads in Israel, Highway 6 is not financed by the tax-payers, but by private investment.
Therefore, the users pay for it. The tolls enable us to maintain the road's quality and to create an enhanced travel experience of unmatched quality in Israel, while at the same time providing the driver with superior services.

The payment method is designed to allow free traffic flow. It is very easy and most effective: Instead of building toll booths at which the driver has to stop and pay, we've installed toll gates along the road which contain systems that identify the passing vehicles automatically without requiring the vehicle to stop. This is one of the most advanced methods used anywhere in the world.
Highway 6 - Toll road
Pursuant to the State resolution to approve the construction of Highway 6 as a toll road, the state legislated the "Toll Road" Act and regulations. This law and the Concession Agreement regulate the travel pricing method, the payment methods and the legal enforcement solutions in the event of non-payment. Travel rates on Highway 6 are lower than on most toll roads worldwide. The price depends on the number of sections passed by the car per trip. Travel of up to 3 sections is charged a minimum fee, Travel of 5 sections or more is charged per 5 sections only. Different toll rates are set for motorcycles, private cars or trucks.

Highway 6 is open to all and enables using the road both as a subscriber and as an occassional user:
